Cozycase Waterproof iPhone 13 Pro Case Review: 10 Drops & 3 Months Later
I bought the black Cozycase waterproof 360 case for my iPhone 13 Pro on July 2, 2026 for €22.09 (about US$25.18 at the July 2, 2026 ECB reference exchange rate). It has been my primary case ever since.
I bought it mainly because I use my phone outdoors on my scooter for Google Maps, including in heavy rain, and I wanted much more protection than a normal open-face case gives me. After about three months, roughly 10 real-world drops from around 1–2 meters and hours of use in heavy rain, the phone itself still has no new dents, cracks or scratches from those incidents.
My overall rating is 4.7/5. The protection and rain resistance have been excellent in my use, but the trade-offs are real: it is harder to remove than a normal case, the charging-port cover adds a few seconds every time I charge by cable, sound can be slightly more muffled, and touchscreen gloves work less reliably through my stacked screen protection.

Cozycase Waterproof 360 Case for iPhone 13 Pro — 4.7/5
Quick verdict: This case has protected my iPhone 13 Pro through about 10 drops from roughly 1–2 meters and hours of heavy-rain scooter use. My phone has stayed dry in that rain exposure and has not picked up new drop damage.
Best for: people who use their phone outdoors in rain, ride a scooter/bike with navigation visible, or want much more drop protection than a slim case provides.
Skip if: you frequently swap cases or prioritize the thinnest possible feel, maximum speaker openness or the easiest touchscreen-glove performance.

This is a first-hand household/outdoor-use review, not a standardized laboratory drop or waterproofing test. My drop heights are estimates, and I have not submerged the case underwater. When I describe it as waterproof in my use, I mean that it has kept my phone dry during prolonged heavy rain.

Why I bought a full waterproof case
My use case is more demanding than simply carrying a phone in a pocket. I use Google Maps while riding my scooter, so the phone can be exposed to rain for long periods while I still need to see and interact with the display.
I also wanted strong drop protection. A slim case may be easier to live with, but I would rather accept some extra bulk if it means I can use navigation in bad weather without constantly worrying about rain or an accidental drop.
Cozycase markets its iPhone 13-series waterproof case as full-body protection against water, dust and drops, with a built-in screen protector and support for wireless charging. The manufacturer currently states waterproofing to 6.6 ft for up to 30 minutes. See Cozycase’s current iPhone 13-series product page. I have not independently verified the immersion claim.
Installation is straightforward, but removal is not
Installing the case is easy enough, but it takes more force than a normal snap-on case. The front and back sections have to seal tightly around the phone, so I need to press firmly around the edges to close it.
Taking it off is more annoying. I need decent fingernails and some force to separate the two halves; a thin tool can help. Because of that, I would not recommend this design to someone who changes cases several times a week.
As a set-it-and-forget-it primary case, though, the tight fit is exactly what I want. My phone sits completely securely inside with no noticeable movement.

About 10 real-world drops with no phone damage
Drop protection is the strongest part of my experience alongside rain protection.
I estimate that I have dropped the phone around 10 times while using this case. The drops have been from roughly 1–2 meters and onto a mix of hard floors, asphalt and softer surfaces such as carpet.
The iPhone itself has not picked up any new dents, cracks or scratches that I can attribute to those falls.
The case has some cosmetic scratches and signs of use, but there are no cracks, loose pieces or obvious structural failures. After three months, it still feels like it has a lot of life left.

Heavy rain has not gotten inside
I have used the phone in heavy rain for hours while navigating outdoors, and I have not noticed water, moisture or condensation inside the case.
That is the single biggest reason I like it. I can keep Google Maps visible on the scooter without worrying nearly as much about rain reaching the phone.
I have not tested it underwater, so I am not claiming that my own unit has personally passed Cozycase’s immersion specification. I also would not extrapolate my experience into a claim that it can survive 12 hours of continuous rain just because several hours have been fine. What I can say is that prolonged heavy rain has not gotten inside mine so far.
Touch response is very good — except with gloves
The built-in screen protector works much better than I expected. Normal scrolling, typing and precise touches feel very good, and Face ID works normally.
My setup is unusually protective because I also have a separate glass screen protector on the iPhone underneath the case’s integrated screen layer. Even with both layers, everyday touch response is excellent.
The weakness appears when I wear touchscreen gloves. The extra layers make glove input less reliable, which matters because outdoor scooter use is one of the reasons I bought the case in the first place.
I can also see a few small air-gap-looking areas at times, although I cannot say with certainty whether they come from the Cozycase layer, my separate glass protector or the combination of both.

Buttons and cameras still work normally
The power and volume buttons remain easy to press. They feel a little stiffer than with a minimal case, but not enough to bother me.
The small switch area for silent mode is more noticeably stiff and takes a bit more effort.
I have not noticed the case causing shadows, reflections or other obvious image-quality problems with the cameras.

The charging-port cover is protective but slightly annoying
The charging-port flap is easy to use, but it creates a tiny bit of friction every time I charge by cable. I have to pull it open and close it again afterward.
That takes me only around five seconds, so it is a minor complaint rather than a serious usability problem.
Wireless charging works through the case without problems in my experience, which is useful if you want to avoid opening the port cover altogether. Cozycase also lists wireless charging support for the iPhone 13-series waterproof case.

Sound is slightly different, but still fine
Speaker, microphone and phone calls all remain usable. I do think the enclosed construction can make the sound a little more muffled or different compared with an open case, but it has not been enough to cause a practical problem for me.
I also have not noticed the phone becoming meaningfully hotter inside the case.
Fit, grip and everyday wear
The fit is excellent. Once installed, the phone feels completely locked in place.
The case adds noticeable size and weight compared with a slim case, but I have not found that bothersome. Grip is good and it does not feel especially slippery, so one-handed use feels secure.
After around three months, it does not look completely new anymore. There are visible scratches, particularly from real outdoor use and drops, but the wear is mostly cosmetic.
I have not noticed dust, sand or other debris building up between the phone and case.
What the 360-degree construction looks like

Was €22.09 good value?
Yes. I think €22.09 was very good value for the amount of protection I have actually received.
The official Cozycase store currently lists its iPhone 13-series waterproof case at $32.99, although prices, sellers and included accessories can vary by market. Current Cozycase listing.
If mine broke tomorrow, I would buy another one. My personal ceiling would be around €40. Above that, I would start comparing alternatives more seriously.
Why I rate the Cozycase 4.7/5
My overall rating is 4.7/5. I use the public Jon Tests rating method: each relevant criterion is weighted, the weights total 100%, and the final result is rounded to one decimal place.
| Criterion | Weight | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drop protection | 25% | 5.0/5 | About 10 estimated 1–2 m drops on multiple surfaces with no new damage noticed on my iPhone. |
| Rain/water protection | 20% | 4.8/5 | Hours of heavy-rain use without water or condensation inside; I have not tested immersion. |
| Fit, grip & build | 15% | 4.8/5 | Excellent fit, secure grip and no loose or cracked structural parts after three months. |
| Screen & controls | 15% | 4.2/5 | Normal touch and Face ID are excellent, but touchscreen gloves are less reliable and the silent-mode control is stiff. |
| Charging, audio & daily convenience | 10% | 4.1/5 | Wireless charging works, but the port flap adds a step and audio can sound slightly more muffled. |
| Durability so far | 10% | 4.6/5 | Only cosmetic scratching so far, but three months is too short for a true multi-year durability conclusion. |
| Value | 5% | 4.8/5 | €22.09 was strong value for my use and I would personally pay up to about €40 to replace it. |
| Weighted rating | 4.7/5 | 4.67 before rounding. | |
Who should buy it?
- Good fit: people using phones outdoors in rain.
- Good fit: scooter, bicycle or e-scooter riders who keep navigation visible.
- Good fit: people who regularly drop their phones.
- Good fit: outdoor or physical workers who prioritize protection over slimness.
- Consider another case: if waterproofing and heavy drop protection are not important to you.
- Consider another case: if you constantly switch cases or want the thinnest possible phone.
Would I buy it again?
Yes. For my needs, the combination of heavy-rain protection, strong drop performance and usable touch response outweighs the extra bulk and small everyday inconveniences.
The case is not invisible: charging by cable takes slightly longer, removing it is annoying, sound is a little different and gloves can struggle with touch input. But those are compromises I am willing to make because I use my phone outside in conditions where water and drops are real concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Cozycase waterproof?
In my own use, it has kept my iPhone dry during several hours of heavy rain. I have not submerged my unit underwater. Cozycase currently advertises its iPhone 13-series waterproof case for up to 6.6 ft of water for up to 30 minutes, but that is a manufacturer claim rather than something I verified myself.
Does the Cozycase protect against drops?
My iPhone has survived about 10 real-world drops from an estimated 1–2 meters while using this case without new damage that I noticed. This was not a controlled laboratory drop test.
Does the touchscreen still work?
Yes, normal finger input is very responsive in my use. Touchscreen gloves are less reliable, especially because I also use a separate glass screen protector beneath the case’s built-in layer.
Does Face ID work?
Yes. Face ID works normally for me.
Does wireless charging work through the case?
Yes, I have had no problems with wireless charging through it.
Does it affect the camera?
I have not noticed additional shadows, reflections or obvious image-quality issues from the case in normal use.
Is it easy to remove?
No. Removal is one of my main complaints. The tight 360-degree seal needs fingernails and some force to separate, so I would not choose it if I planned to swap cases frequently.
Would I buy it again?
Yes. I paid €22.09 and would personally pay up to roughly €40 for a replacement because rain and drop protection matter a lot in my use.
